The Basics
Let's not kid ourselves...there are many many
Foam Party suppliers in the UK...some good, some not so good......we like to think
we're amongst the best for three reasons:
- We're there to have a good night as much as your crowd are. Yes we have to consider health and safety and the fact that we're
*technically* at work, but if we're not having a good time and enjoying our work, how will your guests?
- We don't do hundreds of events a year - this means we're fresh and raring to go for each one, ready to make your event as special and
spectacular as we all want it to be
- We love music and dancing, and we're big fans of dance music - hence we can sync the foam effects to the music, be it breakdowns, vocals
or just starting at the right part of that big tune....it's not just "on at 12.15am and off at 12.25am" with us....

Key Information
- Universal Effects Power Head Jet-Foam 350 (little doubt this is the best foam cannon currently available)
- Up to 400 litres of foam mix for a 'standard-sized club - can be controlled for heavy (but shorter) foam bursts or lighter (but longer)
effects. This means different sized venues with larger or smaller crowds get the same length of Foam Party and very similar foam
effects, but you get a quantity of foam that is suitable for your venue!
- Controlled to match DJ and/or lighting effects
- Free clean-up (standard parties only) to leave hardly any residue
- Free dunktank (if space and staffing allows, please ask when booking and see the DunkTank
listing for more details)
- Full £5million Public Liabilities Insurance
- Comprehensive Risk Asessment procedures in place
- For repeat/regular clients, venue and date specific trailer videos are available for use on Facebook and other websites (see here for an example!)
3.
The Favouring!
Well we add Whisky flavouring to the foam...given the massive fan and the amount of foam we're pumping over your dancefloor, everyone in your venue will get the scent of Whisky! We really like this scent and who knows it might help drive sales at the bar!
Flavourings are subject to availability - we will source them 2-3 weeks before the event (further in advance if it's a
really special theme) but we cannot guarantee any particular flavour is available, especially on short notice. We'll do our best though!
4.
Detailed Information
Our standard Foam Parties use a Foam Cannon, which sprays foam well over 10 metres - this covers the heads of most of your guests on the
dancefloor! We can stand it
on existing podiums or raised areas in the venue, but we also have or own staging system to raise the cannon above people's heads -
meaning
that we're shooting foam down at them, rather than shooting foam up at your lights! As of March 2012 we believe we're the only UK Foam
Operator offering this simple yet practical solution as standard at our events.
After arrival we'll liase with your staff to decide the best location to place the foam cannon...generally shooting away from the DJ Booth
and towards the crowd is best, but we also have to take into account gangways, access and emergency exit locations. We'll protect delicate
areas of your flooring as best we can - we use a combination of rubber-matting (good for areas below stairs/steps) and carpet sections (ideal
for large open flat areas). Once we've got our location and all safety aspects sorted we'll set up the Foam Cannon, which reqires an area
approximately 2m x 3m. Our Foam Cannon(s) all use pre-mixed fluid, so we'll measure and dilute that well before you open, meaning there are no
hoses trailing anywhere whilst you have guests inside. The Foam Cannon requires approximately 11amps of power from either a standard 13amp
socket or a standard 16amp 230Volt P+N+E 6h socket (like
this). Before booking with us you
should probably have a quick think about where it might be best to locate the cannon and where the nearest power supply is (we much prefer a
power supply either within the cannon's area, along a wall from the cannon's area, or in the ceiling above the cannon). Power cables
can be secured across where people walk but it does raise the risk factor
slightly. We're more than happy to offer suggestions
in advance via either of our
contact methods.
Then we get to the Foam Party itself! Finally something fun! We'll liase with your DJ and/or lighting jock and/or manager about the best time
to start the Foam, how many blasts you want (and how long each will be), and what time the last foam should be put out - we recommend stopping
90 or 60 minutes before you close, but for busy venues that remain full(ish) towards the close of the night, 30 minutes can be more suitable.
Basically the more people who are walking through the foam, the less is left to be cleared up at the end!
We offer a
Free clean-up service at all standard Foam Parties with just two requirements. As long as (i) we get the final say on how
much foam, how long and how late it's put out and (ii) you have more than 250 people in the venue. Having said that we
will still help
and advise on clean-up for other circumstances (including loaning our clean-up gear to your staff as we pack up the cannon), and we'll always
lend a hand to get the
bulk of any remaing foam cleared away...if you're at all worried about the mess, don't be! Email our
events team for more detailed information.
If your venue is suitable and our staff are available we will offer the Dunktank for FREE with the Foam Party!!! It's a great focal
point (especially if you have a stage) and once people are covered in foam it's always a popular attraction. See the
DunkTank listing for more details. Foam'n'Dunktank parties are our most popular event (as you
can see in
Gunjee TV or on our
Youtube page) - nearly a hundred different venues up and down the country (as well as thousands and thousands of people
dunked) will testify that it's a really fun and really popular event!

6.
Gunjee Media Policy
Please have a read - you can see it by clicking the link below. The fact we video at most of our events has two major benefits to you as a
venue/promoter:
- We can generate trailer videos for use on websites/facebook groups and suitable for screens in your venue (on nights leading up to our
event) which promote the specific event on the specific night - see here for an
example! This is free for repeat clients - there is a small fee for new venues the first time.
- You'll get response and feedback from our interactive events (the Dunk Tank, Gunge Tank, Hot Tub, etc) when the event goes live in Gunjee TV and we then announce it on your Facebook wall, through our twitter
account (@Gunjee_dot_com) and on our Youtube page
7.
Timings (before and after you're open)
We normally require around 60 minutes before opening to set-up a standard Foam Party, and 90 minutes to set up a Foam'n'Dunktank party. Please
let us know
in advance what time we can get into the venue, what time we need to be set-up by, and whether there are stairs (up
or down - this can add considerable time to the set-up!). Most important though is how we can gain access when we get there (doorbells,
phone numbers, etc) - we can't begin to count the number of nightclubs we've been stood outside trying to attract the attention of someone
inside!
At the end of the night we aim to pack down, clear up and be out of your way as quickly as possible. Packing down the foam cannon takes around 10 minutes, plus the time to carry it out. Foam clear-up time depends on how much is left behind. If you've also booked the dunktank, please see the pack-up times for that as pumping the water takes the vast majority of the time. If you want to be out quickly, why not lend us a couple of staff for 20 minutes?
8. Space and other requirements
The Foam Cannon requires an area approximately 2m x 3m, as well as a 13amp power supply (see the detailed information section above). If you're getting the dunktank as well this requires a flat level floor approximately
4m x 3m (see the
DunkTank listing for more details). If these two are next (or at least
close) to each other that's also better!
To fill either the Foam Cannon and/or Dunk Tank we'll require one or more water-sources (at least two to fill both) and we'll bring an array
of attachments to suit the connections available in most venues. However we definitely do need water and so you can expect us to rummage
around in your bar/wash areas and indeed cupboards and staff-areas to find the most suitable supplies.
We have
£5million FULL Public Liabilities Insurance and can provide all our paperwork in advance, including general risk assessments
for our equipment, specific risk assessments for our equipment in your venue, COSHH data sheets and disclaimer notices. All our equipment is
regularly mantained, including short tests in situ before each event. Our staff are fully trained in all aspects of Health and Safety to make
sure us, you and your guests are as safe as possible during installation, during operation and during removal of our equipment. We constantly
monitor safety during our events and will not allow anything that could cause accident or injury to our staff, your staff or your guests. Our
operators have up to
10 years of experience, with Health and Safety being the most important part of their training. As such we have an
impeccable safety record, and we have no hesitation pausing or stopping events if the need arises. For all our
interactive events we
brief all volunteers in advance on the rules, as well as havinge trained staff to maintain control at all times.
The one thing we
do require is that there is a member of club security staff at (or very near to) our location(s) at all times throughout the night.
We do advise you to floorwalk your venue in advance to identify areas that will become slippery when wet and/or foamy - the foam gets carried
around most of the venue by your guests. These areas should be closed, manned or protected by yourselves or us to prevent people falling over
and injuring themselves. We can provide advice in advance or advance and protection on the night, but if it's a large or complex venue we
can't guarantee we can protect all areas.
9. Let us help you promote the event!
We're not promoters but we are good with video and we have had flyers for our events produced in the past (there's an example flyer at
the bottom of this page). If you'd like to use it, or any media from our site to
promote your party, just ask us about licensing our media! But you i) have to ask first and have to ii) agree to the
site terms & conditions and
the
Gunjee Media Policy
10. Questions or queries? Contact us!
